Staples Inc. has released an update on the status of its discussions with the FTC, the Federal Trade Commission. The FTC has just rejected the last offer Staples which offered to dispose of up to 1.25 billion US$ of commercial contracts. For fear of competition too small at the national level the FTC had requested a divestment in commercial contracts, the initial proposal by Staples totaling 500 million US$ had been pushed back. After this 2nd refusal, Staples said that negotiations continue with the FTC to reach an agreement that can address the concerns of the Commission. While stressing that the planned operation continues.
