Japan Mail-order Association (JADMA, Chairman Mitsuaki Awano), August 20, 2019 (April 2019-March 2020) surveyed the sales of the mail-order market, announced preliminary figures.
 
According to it, sales of mail order in FY2019 increased by 8.2% from the previous year to 8,850 billion yen, which was an increase of 670 billion yen in value basis.
 
Since 1998, when it recorded negative growth, it has continued to increase for 21 consecutive years, with an average growth rate of 7.5% in the last 10 years, which is about double the size of 10 years ago.
 
The trends in the mail-order market were that BtoB and malls were strong, and in terms of products, consumer electronics and hobbies/entertainment were strong.
 
The estimated values are mainly for sales of clothing, miscellaneous goods, cosmetics, health foods, etc.
