Wulff’s trade fair business helped the northern European business products reseller to achieve double-digit sales growth in the second quarter.
Wulff reported Q2 revenue of €15.4 million ($17 million), almost 12% higher than in the same quarter last year after increased activity at its Entre trade fair unit. Sales for the first six months of the year were €29.2 million, a year-on-year sales improvement of 4.3% that was attributed to last year’s acquisition of the Canon Business Centre printing business.
Q2 EBITDA was €0.9 million, more than double last year’s figure, while H1 EBITDA increased by around 80% to just under €1.5 million – although much of this increase can be put down to accounting changes resulting from the adoption of the IFRS 16 leases standard.
Since the beginning of the year, Wulff has spent €5.6 million acquiring its soon-to-be new headquarters complex in Finland and its logistics facility in Ljungby, Sweden.
In his interim management report, Wulff CEO Heiki Vienola noted an increase in customer purchases of sustainable products and a growing interest in health and well-being in the workplace.
