Germany-based stationery trade fair Insights-X has revealed that more than 260 exhibitors from almost 40 countries have so far signed up for this year’s show.
Hosted at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre, organiser Spielwarenmesse has introduced several new features for the fifth edition of Insights-X, including a new Hall (3C) and an extended range of services.
One new area, named #Inspiration, will present the latest trend-setting products from the world of stationery, while visitors can benefit from presentations by industry experts on topics relevant to the industry through InsightsTalks. The latter takes place in the InsightsArena, which features workshops where attendees can try out products, along with the PartnerLounge and MediaPoint.
The InsightsArena forms part of the newly built Hall 3C which is directly connected to Halls 1 and 2, resulting in shorter walking distances. The three halls will feature all six product groups, which Director of Fair Management Florian Hess said is to ensure an even dispersal of visitors. “Exhibitors are not in ‘halls’, but spread throughout the exhibition space,” he explained.
Talking at a recent press conference in Paris, Hess said that the focus is on the back-to-school market and the show is therefore currently strong in the writing instruments and equipment and bags and accessories product groups. However, he noted, moving forward other categories including office products would be “worked on through slow and steady development.” Both COLOP and Trodat are exhibiting this year for the first time, for example, joining familiar brands such as Durable and Acme United.
While the emphasis is on quality over quantity according to the Insights-X team, the aim is for between 700-800 exhibitors at the autumn show within ten years. Spielwarenmesse CEO Ernst Kick added: “Decision-makers are the key to the success of Insights-X and we ensure a balance between exhibitors and visitors. We’re very focused on pushing forward with our bespoke concept, the success of which is clearly being confirmed by our exhibitors who are not only satisfied with the organisation of the fair but also say it’s of key importance to their marketing activities.”
