Writing and presentation products manufacturer edding has reported FY2018 growth in both sales and profits.
Sales for the year were up 1.2% to €141 million (US$159 million), with edding singling out its home market of Germany where growth was more than 7%.
EBIT came in at €13.1 million, a rise of 9% over 2017. However, edding did point out that standard IAS 29 on hyperinflation accounting was used for the first time with its subsidiary in Argentina, without which, both group sales and EBIT would have been slightly higher.
For 2019, edding said it is anticipating a moderate sales and EBIT increase.
