BIC is holding its first-ever Global Education Week this week in support of its commitment to improving the learning conditions of 250 million children worldwide by 2025. During the week BIC team members around the globe are volunteering up to a day of work to help to improve learning conditions for students within their local communities.
Education has the power to change the world,” said Gonzalve Bich, Chief Executive Officer of BIC. “Unfortunately, more than half of the world’s two billion children under the age of 14 are leaving school without achieving the minimum proficiency levels. At BIC, one of our long-standing core goals is to improve lives through education. I am excited that during the Global Education Week we will be able to leverage the power of our global footprint across more than 40 countries to create real change in the communities that need it. We all have a role to play and BIC is proud to do its part to help make a difference.”
