A brand new look for London Stationery Show 2023

London Stationery Show launches a fresh rebrand for 2023, featuring new colours, elements and logo. We chatted to Head of Marketing, Ella O’Keefe, to find out more about the inspiration behind the rebrand.

New year, new look for London Stationery Show.The rebrand comes off the back of the decision to link the show more closely with its official publication Stationery Matters, with a shared logo design consolidating their association. The new logo also highlights a new message, that the event is a stationery show dedicating itself to arts, crafts, writing and paper - four key products of the industry.

 In addition to contrasting colours of fresh pinks and greens, the new brief features sharp arrow elements and block underlines, diverging from the soft watercolours of the previous branding. These signify a modern new direction for the show.

We spoke to London Stationery Show’s Head of Marketing, Ella O’Keefe, to find out her thoughts on the new branding:

What caused the rebrand of London Stationery Show?

    We wanted to give London Stationery Show a fresh new look, something that was really reflective of the world of stationery. We were also inspired by the rebrand of Stationery Matters in 2022. The same team run London Stationery Show and Stationery Matters, and we felt it was important that there was synergy between both brands. Both brands now have modern, yet beautiful typography and focus on soft colours and strong shapes. 

 我们想让伦敦文具展焕然一新,把文具创新与全世界共享。我们还受到了 2022 年 Stationery Matters 品牌重塑的启发。同一个团队经营伦敦文具展和 Stationery Matters 杂志,我们认为这两个品牌之间的共同协作的作用很重要。这两个品牌现在都拥有现代化且美丽的设计,并专注于柔和的色彩和强烈的视觉冲击。 

 

What are your favourite design elements of the rebrand?

您最喜欢品牌重塑的哪些设计元素?

I love the fonts. The curvature of our lead font is perfect.When the letters connect, they have beautiful swirls. I think this is a great nod to the intricacies of calligraphy and the beauty of penmanship. The colours are also stunning. 

我喜欢这些字体设计。我们的铅笔字体的曲率是完美的。当字母互相连接时,它们像是一个美丽的漩涡。我认为这是对书法的复杂性和书法之美的极大认可,颜色也十分令人惊叹。

 

What is next for London Stationery Show following the rebrand?

We are about to go live on our 2023 show campaign, meaning buyers will be able to register for this year’s show. T so you’ll start to see our new branding across all our platforms (website, email, social, adverts and more). We’re so excited for buyers to return to the Business Design Centre this May. We’ve got loads in store, with even more big names, exciting new brands, a fantastic education programme and interactive workshops.
